IMMORTAL
TOUR 2000
Clermont - Ferrand, France, Blue Sport Café, 9 October
Report from the day off before France: We spent the day in Biarritz and had a wonderful barbeque on the beach. Poor Daniel, singer and guitarist in Pain Of Salvation had an accident in Barcelona, mucking around with a scooter and broke a couple of his fingers. It looked really nasty, they were bent completely the wrong way, but luckily they have got another guitarist who is covering for him. The tour continues as normal and Daniel is concentrating on doing the singing. Well, what did we tell you? Sporting is not good for you! Report from Clermont-Ferrand:This is a nice little town and it's sort of a fun stop off for us, on the way to Lahr. Last night's dinner was voted one of the best on this tour, for those of you interested in the gastronomic side of things. We got the vibe that there were a lot of people in the audience that didn't know Arena, so we skipped "Moviedrome" and went for a bunch of shorter songs instead. Twenty minute epics may be a lot of prog lovers' passion, but maybe it's not the best way to introduce a band to someone. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, so there aren't really any fascinating anecdotes to report. But hey, stay tuned for more scandals, roller coaster rock n roll-lifestyles in the wacky world of Arena! Or something...
