- Amsterdam - Paradiso
Playing at the Paradiso seems to be the closest thing to "coming
home". Everybody was extra conscientious with the setting up of the
gear; we wanted this to be a good gig. We were not going to be disappointed.
When we came on there was a fantastic reaction from the 600 strong audience,
and we wanted to play all night! In fact, we almost did, finding ourselves
coming back on stage to perform a fourth encore. What a reaction! The
concert itself had a real "end-of-term" feel to it, and the band
took the opportunity to thank the members of the crew for all their hard
work. The rendition of "Crying for Help VII" was extra rousing,
with Arena being joined by Nick Barrett and Peter Gee as well as various
members of the crew. This was an excellent evening!
