Belgium - Verviers - Spirit of 66
After a hearty breakfast the setup began, in the knowledge that we had already sold out the gig. It was going to be a hot one! Sure enough, the venue was packed to the rafters as Nick and Peter came on stage to perform some Pendragon classics. An added bonus to their set was when Clive joined them for a rendition of "King of the Castle". By this time it was already boiling on stage. Arena then began, to a great ovation. The set was dynamic, and it seems that the band have found their feet with the new material. The video footage really works well with the music now. One small problem occurred, just before the first encore. The was when Rob cut his head open on a beam in the dressing room (he's too tall!)! Fortunately it wasn't too serious (apart from the pool of blood on the floor!) and he soldiered on! Arena were even forced to play an extra unrehearsed track to keep their audience happy.
